design
the design of the jackets was developed after the attacks of 9-11 and the following war in afghanistan. bein influenced by the never ending media images of the military, the designer tried to break uniformity by refitting used clothing from the military to the individual and bring in character and style.
in order to achieve the fitting and color of the garment the designer has sown, ripped, bleached and soaked different materials. the jackets have in part hung in the back yard for weeks in a row to get a certain softness from the rain and the sun.
also, the designer had friends model certain types of jackets on the streets of ny, london and berlin to see how people would react to the design of her jackets. some critisism/ suggestions were considered by the designer and have resulted in a new and more comfortable wear.
quality
all our garment consists of fine cotton and was selected by high quality standarts. the jackets are individually designed and are hand made and altered. the jackets therefore have individual stitchings, buttons and form.
